A small number of graduate students will be granted a waiver of the registration fee and partial subsidy of reasonable travel expenses. In return, they will be asked to take notes at the workshop. Students requesting a waiver should submit a brief (at most one page) description of their current research direction and an explanation of how participation is likely to benefit them.

Award value is expected to be the lesser of US$500 or actual workshop expenses (based on pre-travel estimates submitted by the applicant). Workshop registration must be paid from the awarded funds. The number of awards will depend on the number of applicants and the relative needs of each.
