Reservations for hotels are separate from the workshop registration process. Please follow the instructions below to reserve your acommodation.

Hotel Reservations

The location will be Low Wood in the Lake District (you can read more about things to do during your stay). Reservations can be made by contacting Low Wood directly or by posting or faxing them this booking form (PDF version).

Important note: Any unsold rooms in our room block have been released. You are advised to reserve a room as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

The Low Wood Hotel is a 4* hotel in the English Lake District. It boasts a choice of restaurants and bars, a Leisure Club, Beauty Salon and Water Sports Centre together with a superb lawned shoreline and one of the finest views across Lake Windermere.

The nearest major airport is Manchester, which runs frequent services to many US and EU destinations. Travel directions from the airport can be found below.

Getting to Low Wood

By car

From Manchester Airport join the M56 westbound at Junction 5 then continue until you exit M56 at Junction 9 onto the M6 northbound. Follow the directions below (see map).

From the South, take the M6 leaving at Junction 36. Turn left onto the A590 and then A591 signposted to Kendal and Windermere. The Hotel is situated 2 miles North of Windermere village on the right. From the North M6, exit at Junction 40 and take A66 towards Keswick, then the A591 to Ambleside. The Hotel is 1 mile South of Ambleside on the left.

The hotel has its own car park. Helicopter landing can be arranged.

By Rail
You can reach the hotel by rail, National Rail Enquiries offer a journey planner. The West Coast main line from London to Glasgow stops at Oxenholme. A stopping service operates from Manchester Airport to Carlisle, also stopping at Oxenholme.

We will be running a shuttle service from Oxenholme station to meet trains from Manchester airport arriving between 10am and 7.30pm on Wednesday 1st. We will also be arranging return journeys based on demand at the workshop itself.

If you are arriving outside these hours, you can change trains at Oxenholme for Windermere Station and taxis are available outside (or you can prebook by calling: Lakes Taxis on Freephone 0800 7317612).
